The company was established in 1987; then trading as Model Board with one corrugator.

Model Board was acquired by Amcor in the mid 1990s, and then sold to Mondi.

In May 2008, after a share sale, the business changed its name to Board24.

Today the company has three sites:

• Coalville in the Midlands;
• Larkhall outside Glasgow;
• Preston in the north of England; this site is now regarded as the premier sheet feeder in the UK.
