Staff Profile – Emma Beer

Emma Beer, Marketing Manager at Board24 and the wider Logson Group, has a steely side to her having completed a number of personal challenges over the years.

A dedicated runner she has taken on scores of 5K, 10K and half marathons, the legendary ‘Tough Mudder’ series and this year successfully completed the ‘Fan Dance’ – a hill run like no other which sees competitors go up, down and back up again, Pen-y-Fan (Jacobs Ladder) covering 15 miles in the Brecon Beacons in Wales.

A fully qualified CIM professional Emma began her career as a Sales Manager for iconic British car brand MINI before undertaking a Masters in International Marketing. Upon completion she then moved into the packaging sector where she spent nine years, lastly at inspirepac, developing her role and career knowledge working on a number of exciting strategies and campaigns. During that time the digital era began to gather pace and Emma has seen the positive impact that this has had on brand awareness and the shift required in media and communication strategies to keep pace with the changes and the difference in audience demands.

In addition to her role at inspirepac, in 2012 she became the Marketing Manager for the Logson Group, where she worked for four years until inspirepac were acquired by Smurfit Kappa.

June 2016 saw her return to the Logson Group full time as Marketing Manager where she now has responsibility for all brands – Board24, Boxes and Packaging, Boxshop, Cases24 and Jardin – across all disciplines from brand management to social media engagement.

Emma commented; “This is a great role and one which I feel truly suits my skill set and my personality. It’s great being able to switch between the brands whilst recognising that they are all working towards a common goal – the success of the Logson Group.”

Away from the office Emma also played Netball competitively for many years and enjoys spending time with family and friends and of course, fitting in a run whenever she can.
