Cardboard Rainbow Trail

It seems that every day we wake up to a new world of unprecedented changes on everyday life, so now more than ever the idea of hope is present in peoples mind. Therefore, the Rainbow Trail has become a trending phenomenon on social media. Thousands of children up and down the country are painting pictures of rainbows to ‘spread hope’ during the coronavirus outbreak by putting them in their windows to lift people’s spirits.

Rainbow Trail Facebook page said: “To take part all you have to do is create Rainbow pictures and stick them in your window for children to find on walks. You can be as creative as you like using pens, paints or anything you have to make one. Please share it would be great to get everyone involved including young and old.”

One great idea to create your rainbows and keep the children busy is to cut some cardboard into a rainbow shape and use colourful cut up paper, material or tissue paper to shape your colourful lines.

If you are out on your exercise walk, run or ride for the day it is lovely to keep an eye out for the rainbow’s in the windows.

So please remember, if you do go outside, go outside only with one other member of your household at a time, stay 2 metres away from other people and wash your hands as soon as you get home.

If you’ve made your own cardboard rainbow, we’d love to see them put up in your windows for passers-by to see, send them to
