Logson Group Health and Safety Manager, Mark Ryan has been arranging charity events to raise money for charity during his time in lockdown.
Mark started by donating his weekly football subs, along with his football friends, to a Nottingham based homeless charity, The Friary. He then continued to arrange zoom bingo nights and football quizzes to keep the donations coming.
The Friary empower homeless and disadvantaged adults to rebuild their lives by providing practical services, advice and emotional support.
Mark was so pleased at the amount that they have been able to raise for the homeless: “This charity works in my local community and people who rely on this service will have needed it more than ever in recent months. I’m delighted to have raised £2,000 completely exceeding my £750 target and my thanks go to friends, family and colleagues who gave their time and their money to support this amazing charity.”
The £2000 that Mark and his friends were able to raise will now be matched by the Logson Group company.
“Now we’ve got some great momentum behind us there seems no good reason to stop so our next big event will be a cycle ride from Nottingham to Skegness on 20th September,” said Mark. “We’re looking for as many participants as possible and for each person to set up their own Just Giving page so that donating by their own supporters is as simple as possible.”
