This year we have committed to a new training vision for our existing team members helping them to learn new skills and excel in their roles.
Our Process Mastery programme is well underway, helping selected colleagues who volunteered to develop their skills further to become experts in the current roles.
Alongside this, several of our colleagues have taken part in our Naturally High Performance course.
Hosted by a specialised third-party provider, the course is designed to challenge and perhaps change perceptions to allow the changing of procedures all working together to make significant business improvements.
After some initial scepticism, the results have far outweighed expectations, not just from those who have taken part so far, but from those who have seen a change in the way colleagues have approached challenges, their change in communication style and their confidence in embracing change and the positive impact it can have.
Claire Butler, Head of HR, who has been part of the first cohort commented; “This course has had such a positive impact and the feedback we have received has been staggeringly good.
“It is very easy to do what we have always done and behave in a manner that is perhaps not always that helpful to colleagues.
“This course helped our team to look at their roles within the business quite critically and understand how sometimes it’s not what you say or do, but what the inference or your attitude conveys.
“It certainly gave many of us lots to think about and as you can see is already having a positive impact on our team.”

“I have found it quite life changing. I was previously a massive over thinker and worrier. It hasn’t eliminated this completely but has had a big impact on how I think. On a personal level I find it easier to focus on the positive and not let negative emotions take over. “The NHP was different to any of the training I have done before. I have seen a significant change in one person in my team. Calmer and less emotional, leading to more focus on the tasks. Learning the link between Ego and a “defence” mechanism was an eye opener. In response, we are changing how we talk about managing change. We are explaining that no changes lead to no improvement and people are safe to try things. We are removing the fear, allowing the genius to be explored.”

Using the techniques I learned I find I am more present in conversations and tasks, which helps my decision-making and my ability to support others effectively. I feel I can be more in the moment, whether that’s through clearer prioritisation of work or pausing to reset when I feel I am juggling too much.”
