Once again it has been a complete pleasure for our team to read the nominations for our 2025 Recognition Awards.

This is where our colleagues nominate each other, recognising those team members who uphold our company values and make an extra special, positive contribution to the business.

Awarded across all three sites, Coalville, Preston and Eurocentral, 2024’s worthy winners were presented with a certificate engraved glass award and gift vouchers.

At Eurocentral Allan Burnside was nominated by his colleagues for giving 100% in everything he does, his respect and his ability to create a positive and supportive environment for his colleagues.

Wiktora Wozniak was commended for her tenacity as a new employee to learn all about the business and her commitment to carrying out her role in her unfailingly friendly and positive nature.

At Coalville, Glenn Watrett received several nominations for being a strong team player, actively passing on his knowledge to develop others skills, his openness to learn new things and the way in which he looks for new ways to improve our processes.

Last but by no means least two colleagues at our Preston team were nominated by the same colleague – the colleague whose life they helped to save after he had a heart attack whilst out cycling with them. The quick-thinking nature of Wayne Potter and Mick Walsh ensured a defibrillator was speedily located whilst taking care of their colleague and friend.

Additionally, Trevor Walmsley was recognised for his commitment to driving better quality and exceeding operational performance targets wherever possible. He was commended as a superb shift leader and welcomed all team members warmly.

Claire Butler, Head of HR, Board24 commented; “Once again colleagues within the business took the time to nominate their co-workers and were very open in why they thought they were deserving of winning a recognition awards.

“There were so many positive comments, and my warmest congratulations go to our worthy winners, whilst my thanks go to those who took the time to participate in the nomination process.

“A special mention to Mick and Wayne who displayed great friendship and team spirit even out of the workplace.”
