Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, colleagues from our Preston site undertook two charity bike rides for local charity Jades Bag.

Now, as all the monies raised have been collated, they are delighted to announce they have raised a staggering £5,220!

Wayne Potter, who co-ordinated the event commented; “ On behalf of myself, Mick, Phil, Martin, Paul, Daniel, Des and Jade’s Bag we would like to thank everyone who donated money for this fantastic local charity.

“We never dared to dream about raising this amount but thanks to all our supporters, and those who took to two wheels to make it happen, we achieved this amazing result!

Over the weekend the team did two routes – The Guild Wheel on Saturday 23rd August, a 34km circuit with 185m elevation whilst on Sunday 24th the route was The Longridge Loop, a 78km circuit with 1100m elevation.

Wayne added; “The weather was kind to us, and we had a really great weekend. Since we all started cycling together early in the new year of 2025, we’ve had a lot of laughs, got so much fitter and now helped this amazing local charity.

The GoFundMe page will no longer accept any further donations however if anyone should wish to make a donation to Jades Bag then please click on the link below.
