Board24 have received a letter of thanks from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services for their assistance when neighbouring business caught fire.
“I write on behalf of the Chief Fire Officer to express my gratitude for the support, co-operation and professional from your staff during the recent major fire on the 9th April 2015 at Recycling Lives, adjacent to your premises.
Following post incident debriefs that have been conducted, officers and fire-fighters alike have summarised that without the use of the pond to the front of your business and more significantly the use of the water from your sprinkler tank, the incident would have been far more difficult to deal with and would have resulted in an increased strain on Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) resources, in addition to compromising the speed in which the incident was included.
The incident was of some magnitude and it was some days before we were able to close down the incident as you may well be aware; however, this would have taken so much longer to finalise without your support.
I would like to quote one of the many comments made if I may; this one from an officer working out of Lancaster Fire Station as it very much sums up just how far your staff went in assisting with our fire fighting operations. I quote “Regardless of the impact on their own core business at Board24, the management team went the extra mile in assisting us”.
From an LFRS perspective, your support was extremely well receive and very much appreciated. Thank you once again.”
