These boots are made for walking and that’s just what Board24 did, with a combined total of 2,871,726 steps in March. Eight colleagues from Board24 participated in “Walk All Over Cancer” to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK. Every day throughout the month, the team was challenged to take 10,000 steps, with all proceeds going to the charity.
The team consisted of individuals from all 3 sites, including: Michael Lennon, Ryan Blackburn, Greg Harding, Thomas Park, Elaine Wilson, Teri Paterson, Kirsty Park and Gordon King. Team members raised a total of £1906 for charity with Michael Lennon raising the most donations of £890 and Thomas Park walking the most steps, totalling 523,476. Just shy of 100 miles.
W&R Barnett Charity Scheme, our parent company, will match the team’s total donation, £1906 with a final amount of £3812 for Cancer Research Charity.
Board24 is grateful for all the employees who participated in such a meaningful cause. Cancer Research UK funds cancer research around the world, with the goal of developing new cancer drugs and providing the latest cancer information to both health professionals and the public.
