It’s a very warm welcome to the latest members of our Preston team – Jade Parr, HR co-ordinator and Josh Samuel, Customer Services Apprentice.
Jade joins the team from a previous role in HR and will support the business with recruitment, managing employee records, assisting with providing internal communications to the wider business, handling day to day HR queries, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Jade commented; “I’m looking forward to continuing my growth in HR, taking on new challenges and expanding my knowledge in areas like employee engagement, wellbeing and organisational development. I’m passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where people feel valued and empowered to thrive. In the future, I hope to take on more strategic responsibilities, contribute to shaping wellbeing initiatives and help drive a positive workplace culture.”
Josh’s role sees him liaising with customer on email or on the phone, putting in different orders and speaking to different members of the Board24 team to confirm fulfilling orders, verifying dates for orders and help ensuring order accuracy.
Josh said; “I’m really pleased to have joined the business and, in the future, I’m looking forward to working and communicating with different people and hopefully progress through the company.”
Josh is the latest apprentice to benefit from the robust apprenticeship programme in operation in the business.
Apprenticeships were introduced to Board24 in 2022 and since then there has been over 25 apprentices, some of whom are still completing their qualifications, and many who have successfully completed the training schemes we offered them to become fully qualified members of our team.
The apprenticeships offered have been incredibly varied from engineering to data analysis, but all have reflected the needs of the business and our drive to encourage new talent into all three of our sites at Coalville, Preston and Eurocentral.
Claire Butler, Head of HR, Board24 who leads the recruitment, training and apprenticeship programme for the business commented; “Apprenticeships and training opportunities for younger team members are so important in modern day businesses, especially one like our where we needed to encourage new people into the business.
“We have had so many success stories and it’s been wonderful to see people across all areas of our business learn and succeed in roles which are hugely important in the day to day running of Board24 and will future proof our skills in the years ahead.”
