Forty years in business is a fantastic milestone, and our team at Eurocentral is celebrating theirs this month!

Forty years ago, a corrugated board manufacturing sites was established in Larkhall.
and had a handful of owners before it became part of the Logson Group in April 2008. It continued to operate from its Larkhall site until it moved to a new, purpose-built site in Eurocentral.

At that time a brand-new corrugator was installed and until recently it held the accolade of the newest corrugator in the UK, winning an award at UK Packaging Awards in 2024 for Investment Project of the Year.

“The history and longevity of our Scottish operation is certainly something to celebrate and it’s an honour to be able to acknowledge this milestone with the Eurocentral team,” said Frank Hay, Group Managing Director, Board24. “Eurocentral is a superb operation, and we are proud to supply corrugated board to many sheet plants across Scotland and northern England.”

In those early days at Larkhall a young man called Stephen Kennedy joined the team as an operator on the corrugator take off section and progressed through the business in a variety of roles.

Fast forward forty years, through many business owners and a move in 2024 to Eurocentral, that same Steven Kennedy is now General Manager at the Eurocentral site.

Impressively, he’s not the only team member who has many years’ service; a testament to the fantastic team mentality and spirit that makes them such a winning team.

William Kirkwood, Charles Monks and Craig Walker each have 37 years’ service whilst Alexander Scully, Robert Bernard and William Morrison have 34, 32 and 30 years respectively.

Those under 30 years but over twenty are Elaine Wilson, 28 years; Jason Kirkwood and John Mooney Jnr, 24 years and Thomas McDermid and Colin Murdoon who have 21 years’ service.

The team celebrated with a food truck, cake and gifts for the team as well as reminiscing about the good time had by all.
