Valeria is our Payroll Manager and is the person who makes sure all the salaries are paid on time and correctly each month.

She joined our team in the summer of 2024 and is based at our Coalville site, although has responsibility for payroll across all three of our sites.

Valeria has over 20 years’ experience in accounts and finance functions but over the last four years has specialised in payroll. Prior to working with Board24 she worked at Pickford’s Pharmacy Group where she consolidated her payroll knowledge and experience.

Her skills in accuracy, investigation and diligence ensures she easily managed our complex 24 hours, seven days a week payroll system to ensure our team receive their renumeration as expected.

On a day-to-day basis Valeria oversees and manages all our payroll processes, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with all HMRC and tax regulations. 

Key responsibilities include managing payroll staff, verifying employee data, processing payments and deductions, handling benefits administration, resolving payroll discrepancies, preparing financial reports, and remaining up to date with legislation and understanding changes which take place.

Valeria has an Engineering Degree from University in her home country of Romania and is a fully qualified Association of Accounting Technician in the UK.

As a child she had a love of athletics and now, she loves fashion, flower arranging, cycling, swimming, gym, dancing, theatre, music and travelling.
