Wayne Potter is the Corrugator Shift Team Leader based at Board24, Preston and has been working for Board24 for over 22 years. Most of his working life has been spent at Board24.

Wayne’s average day consists of overseeing the running of one of the Corrugators at Preston and making sure their K.P.I.‘s are achieved, and compiling Risk Assessments & Safe Systems of Work to be issued and signed up by the operators.

Wayne told us about his fondest memory at Board24.  “My fondest memory would have to be the large investment of money we had in 2015, meaning that Preston installed a state of the art BHS Corrugator to work alongside the Mitsubishi Corrugator that was installed in 1996, which has served us so well over the years. This investment meant that Preston increased its workforce considerably meaning Board24 could offer full time employment for new people in the company.”

Wayne has been on numerous training courses throughout his years at Board24, with the most significant one being a N.E.B.O.S.H. (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certificate which he obtained over a twelve-week period, of which he is very proud.

In his spare time Wayne is a season ticket holder for Preston North End FC and he attends home fixtures with his youngest son and his eldest brother Billy, who also works for Board24. Wayne and his wife also have a passion for travelling and in recent years have visited Sri Lanka, Mexico, Las Vegas, New York, Jamaica, and Rome, just to name a few.
