On Saturday 16th July, Preston site held a fiercely contested football match between the Operations team and Engineering/Transport team.

It was a tight game, with Ryan Blackburn’s missed chances nearly proving costly for the engineering/transport team, but Anthony Winkley at the back and Peter Fenwick in the midfield helped take the win. At the final whistle, Engineering/Transport defeated the Operations department 6-4.

The Man of the match was Adam Crossley, and the goal of the match going to Liam Grundy, scoring an incredible shot.

Players and spectators came out in force for the employee event, which ended with both teams celebrating their efforts in a local pub after the match.
