Celebrating our apprenticeship achievements

As National Apprenticeship Week is taking place, we thought it pertinent to celebrate our past and present apprentices and the way that Board24 supports them to achieve their very best potential.

Apprenticeships were introduced to Board24 in 2022 and since then we have had over 25 apprentices, some of whom are still completing their qualifications, and many who have successfully completed the training schemes we offered them to become fully qualified members of our team.

The apprenticeships offered have been incredibly varied from engineering to data analysis, but all have reflected the needs of the business and our drive to encourage new talent into all three of our sites at Coalville, Preston and Eurocentral.

Judith Chadwick, Head of HR, Board24 who has been instrumental in the instigation and ongoing success of the apprenticeship programme commented; “Apprenticeships are so important in modern day businesses, especially one like our where we needed to encourage new people into the business.

“We have had so many success stories and it’s been wonderful to see people across all areas of our business learn and succeed in roles which are hugely important in the day to day running of Board24.”

Apprenticeships have been successfully completed or are underway in HR, Data Analysis, Customer Services, Engineering, Production, Health and Safety and Business Administration.

Their workplace activities and learning are supported by a variety of colleges and training providers, who consolidate the knowledge they are gaining with legislative and technical requirements necessary to achieve the qualifications they are working towards in their respective fields.

Judith added;  “Over ¾ million apprenticeships were underway in the UK during 2023 and I would hope to see those number increase  as awareness grows and the range of opportunities widens. It’s also important to note that they are not just for school leavers and young people. There is no upper age limit on who can apply making them perfect for those wishing to retrain or find a new career path.”
