Kirsty originally started at Board24, Larkhall when she was just 17 years old. She had finished secondary school and wanted to start her career – Board24 was conveniently five minutes down the road, it was her first ever interview – and she got the job.
Originally in accounts for the first five years, Kirsty trained in different modules to become qualified. Following a five year gap while she started a family and worked elsewhere, a part time job came up in Customer Services at Board24 and Kirsty went for it. Luckily the company already knew she had a great work ethic and she’s been here ever since.
As a Customer Service Administrator, Kirsty has to look after various aspects of the company, including processing orders, dealing with the transportation and booking in the loads for delivery. The role has also included processing purchase orders along with many more facets of the business, the role is very diverse.
Kirsty says “My favourite part of the role is getting good feedback from the customers; it’s really nice when your day goes smoothly without a hiccup.”
Kirsty has many fond memories over the years at Board24, including Christmas parties and charity events, but she considers her best memories are all the friends she’s made along the way. She has made many firm friendships throughout the years and is still good friends with old colleagues that have since left.
Beyond her Customer Service life, Kirsty now has three children ranging from 11 to 17 and they keep her very busy. Her second son plays for a football academy involving frequent trips ferrying him back and forth from Glasgow for training. Kirsty is very sociable so loves taking advantage of her free time by catching up with friends and getting in some much loved family time.
