Six Board24 employees from the Coalville Customer Service Team took part in the Race for Life event last Sunday in Loughborough.

Some of the team were joined by their daughters and friends making a team of 15 who raised an amazing £2,000 for Cancer Research UK. Ladies from the Board24 Coalville office included; Kelly Schofield, Sharon Hickling, Debbie Newbold, Angela Webster, Ronnie Ward and Ranjit Singh.

The Loughborough course starts in the heart of Loughborough town centre – the Market Place, leaving the town centre and goes through the beautiful Queen’s Park, finishing in the Market Place.

Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event organised by Cancer Research UK and there are almost 300 Race for Life events around the UK each year. These women-only fundraising events involve running, jogging, walking, skipping or dancing a 5k, 10k or muddy obstacle course and raising sponsorship money to help find a cure for some 200 types of cancer.

Debbie Newbold commented; “we all have our reasons for taking part, many of us in the team have unfortunately lost family members and friends. This was a great way for us to support a worthy charity and have abit of fun as a team.”
