Larkhall Employees Reach 25 Year Milestone

Share

Two Board24 employees from Larkhall were honoured at a long service presentation for their 25 years of service with the organisation. Stuart Jamieson and John Burns attended the presentation alongside the Board24 senior team.

The long service award is an excellent way to acknowledge the loyalty and hard work of employees and sends a clear signal to staff that their commitment over many years has been extremely highly valued.

Stuart started off as a Take Off Operator and quickly over a few years became a very accomplished Slitter Scorer Operator. This was a time when operators were very much ‘hands-on’ and each order had to be individually set up by hand, unlike today’s machinery where operations are becoming more automated. From there opportunities came and Stuart was fortunate enough to be given the role of Shift Supervisor which he has held now for approximately ten years.

John has spent most of his career so far mainly on the dry end of the corrugator. Take Off Operations, strapping finished goods pallets for transport and currently looking after the waste streams which he been doing now for a number of years on nightshift.

Steven Kennedy, Production Manager at Board24 Larkhall commented; “On behalf of everyone at Board24, I would like to congratulate Stuart and John, it is an honour to commend them for their contribution to the organisation.”

Richard McBride, Board24’s Managing Director added “The long service awards are a great way to show our appreciation to the hard-working staff we have across the Board24 sites. This year, we have awarded a number of employees with their 25 years’ service certificates; it is a great to have the opportunity to thank them individually for their ongoing commitment to Board24.”
