We are delighted to share that Laura Stanaway has passed her Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship. Laura joined Board24 in June 2021 and works with the Business Development Team at Coalville, supporting Cases24. We will continue to support Laura’s development in her new role as Business Development Administrator starting in January.

In the first quarter of 2023 we will be installing 1,748 solar panels on Preston’s roof, an investment of £600k. This should provide a payback of 4 years. This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to reducing our carbon footprint as we produce sustainable packaging solutions.

In November, several Board24 colleagues grew tashes to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. Movember is a leading charity changing the face of men’s health. As of now, 1,250 groundbreaking health projects have been funded in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

On Sunday 6th November, Chloe Doda, the Marketing and Wellbeing Coordinator at Coalville site took part in the Birmingham half marathon. She completed it in 2 hours 58 seconds and raised over £1,800 for the Leicester Hospitals Charity.

Karl joined Board24 in July 2022 as Group Operations Director, bringing with him a breadth of experience. He has been in the packaging industry for over 20 years, working for large multi-national companies in operational roles. Recently as the Regional Head of Operational Excellence & Supply Chain for DS Smith North Europe.

In this season of online shopping, we are inundated with cardboard boxes, and fortunately corrugated packaging is 100% recyclable. The majority of the time, we just take the cardboard boxes apart and leave them outside our house for collection every other week – but there are other ways we can reuse them this Christmas, instead of piling them up like the leaning tower of Pisa.

Board24 were privileged this month to present Elaine Wilson, Customer Services Manager at Larkhall her 25-year service award. Elaine has been an integral part of the company’s growth, helping both the company’s new and existing accounts grow and expand.

Board24 were privileged this month to present 25-year service awards to 3 members of the team at Coalville site. They celebrated with an awards ceremony followed by a lunch to honour the employees whose dedication to Board24 goes above and beyond.

Alex is well known to the Board24 Coalville customer base having worked at Board24 since the inception of Cases24 in 2009. Alex has been part of the Coalville management team under Richard McBride for 10 years and Dominic Drew since. A lot has happened since 2009 with the introduction of 4 casemakers at Coalville, a new corrugator and building extension at Preston and the material handling lines work recently completed at Coalville.

We are pleased to announce that as part of the company’s future development plans, a new state of the art sheet feeding facility will be built in Motherwell’s Euro-Central business park.
