Congratulations are in order for a member of the finance team, based at Coalville. Board24 Finance Administrator Robert Farrell has successfully passed the Foundation Certificate Level 2 examinations of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) with distinction in every subject.The AAT professional qualification is universally respected and internationally recognised. The Association has around 130,000 members in more than 90 countries.

Robert has attended night classes for the last year at Stephenson College, studying bookkeeping transactions, controls, elements of costing, using accounting software, work effectively in Finance and Foundation synoptic assessment.

Robert quoted; “After several years picking up accounting terms like accruals and prepayments, it was good to get a qualification that backs up the knowledge I have gained.  Hopefully, I can learn new skills at work and college, and put them to good use in the future.”

He has been working for Board24 since April 2002. His career commenced in the Finance Department for Mondi board, then went on to their head office and then back to the Finance Department where he has headed up payroll and the paper purchase ledger since 2007.

Robert has now embarked on Level 3 at Stephenson College, and we wish him every success.
