Apprentices adding skills to our business

Share

We are delighted that two of our apprentices at Board24 Larkhall, have now completed their four year apprenticeship programmes. David Morrison and James Muir both attended New College Lanarkshire to gain their qualifications.

David Morrison (26) completed his Higher National Certificate in Engineering Maintenance (Electrical). David was also awarded the James Cuthbertson Trophy for Top Apprentice of the Year.

James Muir (44), already a Board24 employee, worked as an operator but wanted a new challenge and the opportunity to retrain and gain new skills. Completed his Higher National Certificate in Electrical Maintenance (Mechanical), shows a great example that it is never too late to learn new skills and add value in the workplace.

Board24 appreciate the significant benefits that apprenticeships create, not only in terms of developing a highly skilled employees, but also an excellent way of training and developing people to give them the skills and qualities they need for the future.

Board24 Sales Director, Gordon MacArthur, commented; “At Board24 we are proud to be working with apprentices to enable them to gain valuable experience in a working environment and develop their professional skills set. Our two apprentices are a great asset to the team.”
