Board24 continues to grow their apprenticeship program

Share

Currently, Board24 has 6 apprentices, with 3 more apprentices starting at the end of January. We are committed to growing our investment in apprenticeships right across the group.

At our Coalville site, Brandon Bobbin (pictured on the right), part of the engineering department, is completing his Engineering Technician Level 3 and Mackenzie Fieldsend who joined recently is completing Electrotechnical Level 3, both are supported by The SMB Group. They will be joined by 2 further Apprentices at the end of January. At our Preston site, Dean Hall is completing the Engineering Technician Level 3 with Training 2000. Our goal is to increase the number of Engineering Apprentices across all sites as a result of a national skills shortage.

Our 3rd new apprentice starting at the end of January will be joining our Casemaker Production Team to complete a Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship, learn all our processes and develop into a Lead Operator working with a new provider GFTS. This is part of our current resourcing strategy.

Our Customer Services team at Coaville has 2 Apprentices, Jodie Boyce and Katie Doherty, both are studying Business Administration Apprenticeships through Loughborough College. Also, at Coalville we have a Team Leader, Kelvin Egan, completing Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 also with Loughborough College.

As part of our focus on colleague development, we are exploring various apprenticeship options. Our aim is to continue to build skills through internal and newly recruited apprentices.
