On the Job Training through Apprenticeships

Share

Two Board24 Preston employees were selected to undertake a modern apprentice course. Peter Fenwick and Steve Dutton have started a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprentice course through Runshaw College.

Runshaw College provide education for adult students, also delivering liver training and development programmes, and work based training to hundreds of businesses across the North West.

Modern apprenticeships help employers to develop their workforce by training new staff, and upskilling existing employees, combining a qualification with on-the-job experience. This lets employees work, learn and earn at the same time.

Board24 appreciate the significant benefits that apprenticeships create, not only in terms of developing highly skilled employees, but also an excellent way of training and developing people to give them the skills and qualities they need for their role.

Eric Marshall, Preston Operations Manager, commented; “It is great to see the guys further their careers through nationally accepted qualifications, enhancing their practical knowledge which can be implemented to strengthen our teams and increase efficiency.”
