Since the beginning of 2023, our senior team has engaged in a robust programme to take care of the mental health of its team members.
Forming part of its wellbeing commitment, the team has facilitated and provided;
- A half day i-ACT Mental Health Training for twenty managers and directors. This was provided by Mind Matters Training.
- A further 22 Team Leaders/Supervisors will take part in the same training for September, with the remaining team leaders and supervisors completing their training early in 2024.
- Eight Mental Health First Aider’s have completed their training which allows us to provide internal support and signposting. We will also support further volunteers who wish to become MHFAiders to build our network across all three sites.
- We have formed a partnership with The Printing Charity and we will be reminding colleagues of the support available from them which includes counselling and financial support.
- Our current Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider WeCare is launching an additional service called ‘myStrength’. It includes personalised support as well as educational and helpful activities, articles, and videos.
Judith Chadwick, Head of HR, Board24 commented; “It’s important that we have a structure that helps our team members access help and support for any mental health challenges they may be experiencing, whether they are work or personal.
“Providing several different platforms for people to access support, and openly talking of this and integrating it into our wellbeing commitment, demonstrates how integral this is to taking care of our people and supporting them in a variety of ways.”
