As our teams continue to grow at all three Board24 sites, it’s important that we continue to provide a HR service for everyone.
To that end, and as we continue to invest in the team of the future through our robust apprenticeship programme, we were delighted to welcome HR apprentice, Jade Earnshaw to the business a few months ago.
Jade, who has a master’s degree in health psychology, is involved in the wellbeing strategy, internal communications such as the colleague updates, and charity activities as she gets to know the people and the business.
Alongside her day-to-day work she is studying the Level 3 HR support apprenticeship with CT skills.
When asked about her short-term and long-term goals with the business Jade commented; “Short-term my goal is to not drop anything expensive as I am super clumsy! Long-term my goal is to build my core HR knowledge to support colleagues whilst gaining practical experience in the business. If I can be involved in improving anybody’s wellbeing here as I do that, I would be very happy.”
Jade joined the business to take the first steps in her career as a HR professional and is already appreciating the role it plays in any business, but particularly how it is an intrinsic part of the values at Board24.
Head of HR, Judith Chadwick commented; “Jade has made a great start to her role and is already involved in lots of projects alongside her professional training and studies.
“Her skills from her psychology master’s degree will undoubtedly help her in this people centric career and I’m looking forward to offering my continued support and seeing how her learning and skills develop in the months and years ahead.”
In conclusion Jade added; “My favourite thing about the job so far is getting to know colleagues from different departments, understanding what the different roles involve and how everybody contributes to the business. I still don’t know my way around the (Coalville) factory yet though, so if you see me wandering around looking lost, say Hello!”
