Board24 were privileged this month to present 25 year service awards to 11 members of the team at the Coalville and Larkhall sites. They celebrated with an awards ceremony to honour the employees whose dedication to Board24 goes above and beyond.

The event was an opportunity to thank employees for their loyalty, long-term commitment and sustained contribution to the company. Each Employee receives a certificate and gift for their long standing service. One of the 25 year celebrants was the Coalville Operations Manager, Shawn Summerton, who received his award along with 7 members of his team.

Shawn applauded his team for receiving the 25 year award. “We all started at a similar time and it’s been an enjoyable journey working thorough many changes and challenges with these guys – with lots of stories to tell! They have all served the company well and should be very proud of themselves.”

The employees consisted of 10 members from the Coalville Site: Graham Newbold (Head Planner), Ian Cope (Single Facer Operative), Steven Hickling (Take Off operative), Nigel Hickling (Take Off Operative), David Middleton (Pallet Line Operative), Peter Warren (Clamp Truck Driver), Ian Hurst (Pallet Line and Despatch Team Leader) Paul Upton (Corrugator 1 Operator), David Dow (Engineering Manager) and Shawn Summerton (Operations Manager). Also one employee from the Larkhall Site, Gary Bernard (Production Operator).

Richard McBride, Board24 Managing Director, handed out the awards with a handshake and a heart filled congratulations. Richard commended them for their hard work, commitment and loyalty to the company over the last 25 years. It is a significant milestone for any company, but especially for Board24 as they have been with the company almost from the very beginning. The certificate and gift is a clear indicator to staff that their commitment to the company over the many years has been tremendously appreciated.
