A celebration of long service to employees took place recently at Board24.
A total of seven employees from the Coalville site from five different departments attended a special lunch and received congratulations and thanks from Managing Director, Richard McBride and relevant line managers
Those invited had all given 25 years of service to the company, together clocking up an impressive 175 years. Those awarded included; Lisa Barrs (Financial Controller), Andrew Broster (Maintenance Engineer), Michael Flamson (FLT driver), Robert Jurkowski (Night shift FLT driver), Louise McAree (Business Development Analyst), Adrian Neale (Corrugated 2 Operator) and Debbie Newbold (Customer Services Administrator)
Offering his thanks of behalf of the company, Richard said that the service they had given represented “a true commitment”. He also commended them for their hard work and loyalty over the last quarter century.
Those who joined the company in 1993 cover a range of specialisms and areas of work, and include customer service, finance, estimating, operations and maintenance.
Line Managers responsible for each employee also said a few words to thank them for their contributions to the business, whilst also reliving a few funny stories from over the years including some interesting fashion trends, questionable time keeping and lots of sociable nights out.
While some long-standing employees said that they had never intended to stay so long with one employer but “the years have flown by”, others had never seriously considered leaving a company that suited them so well and offered a chance to focus on work that they loved.
