Apprenticeship success for team leader

Our Conversion Team Leader, Kelvin Egan, has recently completed an apprenticeship that has consolidated his leadership skills within the business.

Kelvin joined the company in 2009 and has been a team leader since 2018. He completed his Team Leader’s Apprenticeship with the Chartered Management Institute through Loughborough College and passed with Distinction just a few weeks ago.

This was in addition to Lean Practitioner training, from which Kelvin is now undertaking a work-related project around testing ink colours to ensure performance is maximised for the Cases24 team.

“Board24 is an interesting and fast paced place to work which matches my enthusiastic attitude towards work, and I enjoy the challenges,” said Kelvin. “The training that I have undertaken has helped me develop my skills and increased my awareness, and these skills are now being utilised within my role to help motivate my team and enhance our performance so that we continue to excel in our field.”

In his day-to-day role Kelvin assumes responsibility for four, three person teams operating four casemakers.

Dominic Drew, Group Managing Director, Board24 commented; “Kelvin has absolutely excelled in his training, and we very pleased for him and his achievements.

“We wish him continued success in his career with us and hope he will embark upon further training and development in the future.”

Judith Chadwick, Head of HR, Board24 added; “Kelvin has demonstrated very successfully how to combine his role and an apprenticeship and shows how Board24 is investing its Apprenticeship Levy in current colleagues as well as new recruits. This is an area we are keen to develop in the future.”

Outside of work Kelvin enjoys running and football, a few beers on a weekend with friends and family, and, unfortunately, is a proud Tottenham supporter.
