On Saturday 24^th September, Board24’s Grand Prix took place at Stretton Circuit, Leicester.

Colleagues from the Coalville site attended the event, competing in several heats in the petrol-powered go-karts.

Following the first three heats of qualifying for the fastest 8, the remaining individuals race for the 2nd fastest 8 and then the 3rd fastest 8. It was Lewis Elliot who won the fastest race of the day, and Jason Beales who recorded the fastest lap time of the race with 36.6 seconds.

There was a good mix of colleagues from various departments across the business including corrugator operators, FLT drivers and transport colleagues.

It was a fantastic event and was a great team building exercise. One colleague commented, “it was really good to see people outside of work and from different departments as we’re all so fast paced it’s hard to spend that time with each other “.

Another colleague mentioned, “I had never done it before – complete novice – but absolutely loved it. I couldn’t stop talking about it when I got home.”
