Board24 Supports Coalville C.A.N (Communities and Neighbours)

Board24 supplied the Coalville CAN Project with cardboard sheets to be used in local schools, as well as a forest made entirely of cardboard!

Tim Neath, from Cardboard Creatives, built models of local architecture out of cardboard – The Hermitage Leisure Centre and the Old Market Building.

Two local primary schools, The Newbridge School and Belvoirdale Primary School were tasked with creating displays using cardboard that they would like to see developed in these community buildings.

The models created by the children were put on display in Snibston Discovery Park for the community to view on Friday 22nd October.

Coalville CAN is a Community Benefit Society working with and for the local people. Their aim over the next 10 years and thereafter is to regenerate Coalville and surrounding areas.

Through financial providers and the residents, they plan to use the money generated by the project to be invested back into the community. The Coalville CAN project provides employment and learning opportunities for young people, as well as physical and mental health initiatives.
