Board24 is proud to announce that it has recently praised three employees who have served the company over 25 years. Those recognised were Angela Webster, Customer Service Team Leader, Michael Lord, IT Controller and Dale Grewcock, Forklift Truck Driver.

As part of this annual tradition which began in 2014, the three employees were invited to a presentation with the directors as a thank you for their years of service and dedication to the company. As they were unable to attend the usual celebratory lunch due to social distancing measures, celebration cakes were given instead, which were kindly shared amongst colleagues.

Angela started her career as a PA to the Director, moving on to a H&S Safety role with NEBOSH certification, before finding her home within the customer services team. Angela become customer services Team Leader in 2004 and has developed her role over time with an expanding team and growing accounts.

Michael began his career as an admin assistant and tried his hand in many roles before he settled into IT in 2000. Michael’s role as IT Controller can vary day to day, but mostly he is involved in different projects to improve the business alongside daily problem solving.

Dale first started with Modelboard on Corrugator 2 as a ticket man, then moved to be a forklift truck driver in loading and has worked as a loader ever since. He is the most experienced loader at Board24 and has seen many changes over the years as the business has grown.

Since the tradition was established in 2014, 48 employees at Board24 have received the long service award which Board24 is very proud of. The celebration also gives employees the opportunity to discuss with the directors what they most enjoy about their role, what keeps them motivated to achieved the 25 years’ service award and where they would like to see the business going moving forward.

The fact that we have so many staff who have worked here so long says something about the teamwork that drives our company. It’s a wonderful achievement and seldom does one see the dedication and loyalty displayed by all those that have achieved this milestone.”
