Roberto contributes part of his success to the help of his colleagues, who have supported and developed his knowledge in his early years with Board24.
In 2019, Roberto was promoted to assistant team leader, then to a production team leader in September 2021. Roberto’s role can vary day to day, but mostly he is involved in different projects to improve the business such as the health and safety and wellbeing of his team, in addition to training and developing them to achieve specific KPI’s. He is heavily involved in the creation of Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments, and completing safety audits.
Roberto takes great pride in maintaining a high standard and ensuring the machine is operating in peak condition to achieve their goals, leading to record production days such as February 4th, 2022, which demonstrates the team’s commitment to improvement.
Roberto was one of the lucky individuals to be selected for the first group of leaders to be enrolled in the Leadership Development Program, based on Logson Group “Make It Safe” vision. The workshop aims to teach individuals how to influence a positive culture within their workplace, as well as matters such as IOSH managing safely and supervising in a material handling environment. Roberto mentioned the workshop has been a huge benefit in helping to improve the health and safety culture within Board24, Preston.
Roberto commented, “The biggest thing I enjoy about my role is seeing my team improve week in and week out through learning together and supporting each other as I see the people as the biggest asset to Board24. Me and my team have a great working relationship”.
“My aims and role for the future is to climb up the ladder and progress through different departments to learn all aspects of the business”.
Roberto has family scattered throughout Italy, and is lucky to travel with his Fiancée, and 2 children, visiting family in Rome and a small village in Agrigento, Sicily. The best part is there is always food, drink, and glorious sunshine. Roberto is also a massive Juventus fan and puts them in a close 2nd position to his family. When COVID restrictions have eased, Roberto can’t wait to visit family and watched Juventus F.C. play.
