Last night the team attended at the Made in the Midlands Awards and were delighted to win the award for Manufacturing Future Talent.
Originally shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year £25m and over, and two apprentices, Reggie Willars and Alex Hill for Apprentice of the Year, the team were very pleased to have the investment they make in their future team recognised amongst fellow Midlands manufacturers.
“This is a great accolade for the team, and we were incredibly pleased to receive the award highlighting the work we do with our apprentices and wider training programmes,” said Alex Morris, Managing Director, Board24 Coalville.”
As part of its training and development programme, the apprenticeship scheme was established in 2019 and to date has seen almost twenty candidates embark upon courses and roles in business administration, engineering, health and safety, data analysis and more.
The scheme has added immense value to our team, bringing in new talent and affording them opportunities to align learning and working. It has allowed Board24 to bring workplace opportunities to people in the local region in an industry that has a long heritage of over 40 years manufacturing corrugated cardboard at the Coalville site.
