Over the last few weeks, it has been heartwarming to read the nominations for our 2024 Recognition Awards. This is where our colleagues nominate each other, recognising those team members who uphold our company values and make an extra special, positive contribution to the business.

Awarded across all three sites, Coalville, Preston and Eurocentral, 2024’s worthy winners were presented with a certificate engraved glass award and gift vouchers.

At Eurocentral, our Mechanical Engineer Dave Singer was nominated for going out of his way to help on shift if someone was struggling, sharing his knowledge and giving training as required.

At Preston our Apprentice Engineer Tony Parkinson was nominated for an outstanding attitude, always being willing to help and taking a brave step into his new role as a maintenance apprentice. A nominator said Tony will be sorely missed by production as he embarks on his new role.

Over at Coalville, where two awards were given. Storeman Warren Powers was nominated for being friendly, approachable welcoming and dependable and hard-working, whilst our Health and Safety Apprentice Reggie Willars was nominated for going above and beyond, embracing challenges and being polite and professional. He was described as taking on new challenges and being a great asset to Board24.

Judith Chadwick, Head of HR, Board24 commented; “Once again colleagues within the business took the time to nominate their co-workers and were very open in why they thought they were deserving of winning a recognition awards.

“There were so many positive comments, and my warmest congratulations go to our worthy winners, whilst my thanks go to those who took the time to participate in the nomination process.”
