Fundraising extravaganza for Mason
Many people come and go through our lives but when you spend a lot of time at work some of those people you get to know pretty well.
This is the case with the team at Menzies, our third party logistics partner, responsible for delivering our finished goods across the country. With many of the team working together on a daily basis, it was a terrible shock to our team when they learnt of the child of one of the colleagues being diagnosed with Leukaemia at just three years old.

We are winners!
Last night the team attended at the Made in the Midlands Awards and were delighted to win the award for Manufacturing Future Talent.
Originally shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year £25m and over, and two apprentices, Reggie Willars and Alex Hill for Apprentice of the Year, the team were very pleased to have the investment they make in their future team recognised amongst fellow Midlands manufacturers.

Keeping it in the family
The team at B&P (Leicester) – one of our sister companies – are big supporters of the cities YMCA and most recently, they provided 75 specially designed ‘sleep out’ boxes for a charity sleep out at Leicester City King Power Stadium.
We were delighted to support them by supplying the board to manufacture the person sized boxes at their Leicester site before they were delivered to the football ground for the fundraising event.

Meet the Team – Terry Cooke
Just a couple of months ago we welcomed Terry Cooke to the team as our Group Customer Services Manager.
Before joining Board24, Terry held an Operations Management role for ERIKS, a major engineering distributor, looking after major accounts such as Saint-Gobain, Hanson Cement and Ibstock Brick.
Part of his role was being involved in the World Class Manufacturing programme, helping to design and implement an industry leading Engineering Stores Model across multiple sites, supporting reliability and overall equipment effectiveness improvements in 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Celebrating our apprenticeship achievements
As National Apprenticeship Week is taking place, we thought it pertinent to celebrate our past and present apprentices and the way that Board24 supports them to achieve their very best potential.
Apprenticeships were introduced to Board24 in 2022 and since then we have had over 25 apprentices, some of whom are still completing their qualifications, and many who have successfully completed the training schemes we offered them to become fully qualified members of our team.

Celebrating one year of Eurocentral
Just one year ago the excitement was palpable as we started the first day’s production at our brand new site in Scotland, Eurocentral.
It replaced our site at Larkhall, and all production and our people transferred to Eurocentral. It was a huge milestone in the history of Board24 and corrugated board production in the UK.

Meet The Team – Andrew Douglas
Andrew Douglas recently joined Board24 as Health and Safety Advisor for the Coalville site. Andrew believes everyone should go home at the end of their working day in the same state of health as when they arrived. His role helps to ensure that this is the case.
